Some notes on "A call for replications of addiction research: Which studies should we replicate & what constitutes a “successful” replication?"
I just read Robert M. Heirene’s recent preprint about replication in addiction research.
It’s an excellent contribution to both addiction research and the general body of meta-research about replication. Heirene brings together some very important research about how to decide what studies to replicate. He also lucidly explains various approaches at quantifying the results of a replication.
These are topics that are both challenging and considerably disputed - and I think Heirene manages to handle them well.
